Junior Post-Doc position, Regulation of Iron Metabolism Unit

A Junior Post-Doc position is available in the Regulation of Iron Metabolism Unit led by Dr. Antonella Nai at the Division of Genetics and Cell Biology, IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, Italy.

We are seeking for an enthusiastic and motivated junior postdoctoral fellow to work on a project focused on the study of the crosstalk between iron homeostasis, erythropoiesis and cell metabolism to identify novel strategies to boost erythroid response in congenital and acquired hypoproliferative anemias and thalassemia.

The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in biological sciences, ability to work independently as part of a team, a solution-oriented attitude and good communication skills in spoken and written English. At least 2-3 years of training with animal work and flow cytometry is required. Previous experience in the hematology field and/or in cell metabolism will represent a favorable asset.

The successful candidate will be offered a 1–year position, renewable for up to 2 years. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
