The Yale Cooperative Center of Excellence in Hematology (YCCEH) is sponsoring a virtual Leadership and Management Skills Course for Postdoctoral Trainees pursuing research in the field of non-malignant hematology. The course, which will be presented by HFP Consulting, will consist of five 3.5 hours sessions (in May 2021), as well as a smaller number of follow-up sessions in late 2021 (dates TBD). Topics for the initial five sessions are shown below. Participation in this course will also foster interactions between trainees in the non-malignant hematology field.

Participants will be selected from postdoctoral trainees at institutions within the NIDDK-funded Cooperative Centers of Excellence in Hematology (CCEH) network as well as other institutions. Selected participants will be expected to attend all sessions. Trainees from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the field of non-malignant hematology are urged to apply.

Application Process: Applicants must (1) complete the attached application and (2) also provide a current NIH Biosketch or CV. The application must be signed by the postdoctoral trainee and the trainee’s mentor.

Trainees from CCEH-institutions should submit their application materials following instructions provided by their local CCEH. Trainees from outside the CCEH network should email their application to:

Selection Process: A total of 16 trainees will be selected to participate. Trainees from CCEH-institutions will be selected through their local CCEH. Applications from trainees from outside the CCEH network will be reviewed by YCCEH leadership.
