A Career Forged in Iron

When asked to contribute to this “Master’s Series” by Dr. Boyer, I was honored and promptly agreed. However, no sooner had I accepted his offer than I had second thoughts, particularly because it involved personal aspects and my career. These thoughts soon turned into serious reservations and then into grave doubts. Perusal of the Journal revealed that previous authors were very distinguished, erudite, and engaging and would be very difficult acts to follow. This led to searching questions.
